VideoSolo Screen Recorder is a user-friendly utility you may use to record the activity on your PC screen as a video, audio or even image file. You can select the recording area on the full screen, a window, a fixed-region area or customized one.
One advantage it provides over other free screen capture utilities is the ability to choose cdecs from a toolbar menu. It has a two-part interface, consisting of a main screen and a green-bordered capture that you can drag to resize and place over the screen area you want to record. If for some reason, you need to uninstall this program, and then reinstall it, just download it from the official site, avoiding unwanted programs that may come from unknown resources.
